My Top 3 Priorities for 2010-2013

My top three priorities are:

  1. A Warm Welcome & Positive Connection for All
  2. Emphasis on Citizenship, Creativity, Critical Thinking & Communication
  3. Strong Stewardship for Public Education NOW & Into the Future

These three priorities build on the five priorities I established in 2007 and on what I have learned from my Board, personal, and community conversations and experiences during my first term of office.   Achieving them will move public education forward in our city.

Progress on these  three priorities will be accomplished through influencing Board policy-making, continuing to engage the community in meaningful dialogue, and emphasizing clear communication and collaboration in all my activities and decisions.
