A huge part of being an effective trustee is understanding what’s on the hearts and minds of people in the community and then reflecting on those opinions and ideas as you make decisions at the Board table.
The challenge is to be connected to as wide a diversity of people as possible. Door knocking is an excellent way to stay in touch with what is on people’s minds.
As in the last two elections, I will keep careful track of what people are saying, and I will share those thoughts so this information is available to everyone to consider as we work together to enhance public education in our city.
