- Public School Boards Association of Alberta (PSBAA) Legislature Watch: Keep track of what is being discussed at the Legislature related to public education. Leave a comment!
- Edmonton School Councils on Facebook. The description reads as follows: “Parents engaged in School Councils in Edmonton. An outside the School Board’s way of reaching each other. There’s no magic but we can try to know what’s going on and, yes, we can each help each other.”

- Be sure to check out the PIA Fall 2006 Survey on Education in Alberta.
- Also, during the winter of 2007 PIA held a series of participatory workshops on how to improve our democratic processes in Alberta. The recommendations for strategies and action that came out of the workshops are interesting and the whole document is worth reading. However, if you have limited time, you can find ideas related to Fostering Participation/Engagement in Deciscion Making starting on on page 11, ideas related to Education/Schools starting on page 13, and ideas related to Public Institutions/Local Issues starting on page 16. Check them out, and please let me know which ideas are worthy of pursuit in the Edmonton Public School district.
