Connect with the Board to provide your viewpoints.
- Sign up to be informed of Edmonton Public School Policy Reviews and contribute your wisdom online. (See bottom of page for how to sign up.)
- Attend Board meetings. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend either in person or from home via webcast. Note that agendas with links to all reports are posted usually five days in advance of the Board meetings, and also, the webcasts are archived.
- Share your views of a general educational nature at public board meetings or on specific agenda items. Please contact the Board office @ 780-429-8021 should you require further information on these opportunities.
- Contact your ward trustee.
Share your views with other parents
- Alberta School Councils Association: Its purpose is to engage and support parental involvement in public education through school councils, and direct parental views and voice into the education system. At an annual meeting, school councils have the opportunity to bring forward positions and ideas for improving public education. Those passed are taken forward by the Association to the Provincial Government.
- Edmonton School Councils on Facebook. The description reads as follows: “Parents engaged in School Councils in Edmonton. An outside the School Board’s way of reaching each other. There’s no magic but we can try to know what’s going on and, yes, we can each help each other.
