The fundamental contribution that all trustees make to the Board is active and thoughtful participation in decision-making at public board and conference meetings. In addition, trustees serve on various Board committees that enable the work of the Board as well as represent the Board on external organizations to which the Board belongs. Finally, trustees engage in various professional development opportunities to increase their understanding of trusteeship, board governance, etc.
